We Are Friends of Jesus!

Orange Friends Church is affiliated with the EFC-ER (Evangelical Friends Churches – Eastern Region), which is a network of over 90 Evangelical Friends churches located in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Maryland, and Eastern Canada. What We Believe

In the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God.

At Orange Friends Church, We Believe...
Love God
We are called to worship God in many ways. We show our love for God through obedience end the giving of our time, talents, and treasures. We will continually strive to be like Jesus, choosing to forgive others, being joyful in sacrifice, serving those in need, and sharing God's love with those around us. We will run towards God by obeying His Word and seeking Him through prayer and worship. We will listen for His voice and will seek His direction in our lives.

We choose to love and respect others and to listen to and hear one another. We choose to have fun together through fellowship and activity and to share life together. We will practice positive conflict resolution as we actively seek God and allow Him to heal our relationships. We desire to have strong, healthy marriages that are restored and thriving and to practice healthy parenting.

Make Disciples
We desire to connect those around us to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their relationship with Him. We want everyone to experience His grace, love, wholeness and hope. As Christ followers, we will intentionally develop authentic, loving relationships with those around us and lead by example, sharing the Gospel of Christ without a voice of condemnation. We will provide a safe place for all to not only seek, explore, and come to Christ, but also to grow as followers of Christ.

Be Transformed in Christ
This journey of transformation is a continual process of growth which includes healing and overcoming strongholds. As we experience transformation through Christ, we will exhibit a joyful spirit, changed lives, renewed minds, and we will strive to be more like Jesus. We want to share about our transformation and celebrate with one another as we arrive at different points along our journey.

Be Spirit-Led
We desire to be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives. Therefore, we will walk in the Spirit so that we will be able to make Spirit-led decisions. We believe that Spirit-filled people do Spirit-led things. Therefore, our words and actions will reflect a Spirit-filled life. We will seek the Spirit and, as a result, we will experience the fruit of the Spirit rather than the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:16-26).

We desire to be a people of dependent and expectant prayer, in constant communion with God. We realize that prayer is at the center of our very nature and is vital to see God move in our midst. Therefore, we will pray for one another and encourage the practice of prayer on an individual and corporate basis.

Be Joyful in Spirit
We desire to be a passionate group of Christ-followers who engage in authentic, enthusiastic worship and celebrate what God is doing in our lives on a personal and corporate basis. We want the joy of the Lord to be evident in our lives and to be revealed through our childlike faith and through our willingness to "serve the Lord with gladness" in all circumstances (Psalm 100:2).
